Prices and Publishing

As the target audience of my magazine is students I will issue the magazine monthly free of charge. This will allow any student aged between 16-19 to read the magazine that may feature them or stories that relate to them every month. As education is the main aim at this age not all students may have their own jobs yet or be able to afford paying for a magazine. Pricing the magazine may put students off from buying it and it also gives everybody a fair chance to enjoy reading what is going on around them in the college if the magazines were to be free. My magazine would be published monthly to limit costs and also so that it could include more articles per edition.   Funding could be done for the magazine cost e.g. cake stalls held at the college to raise money for printing. Students would also be behind creating each months magazine and articles as this can give them an opportunity for experience in this media area- this would also benefit as no money would have to paid to another person to create the monthly magazines/ articles.
